It’s Official- We’re off to Vegas

In April. We haven’t been to Vegas since we eloped at the Las Vegas courthouse, almost 11 years ago! This time we’ll be going for very different reasons! We are bowling for Fireproof Ministries! I’ve been writing about these guys for over a week, reading and consuming everything about what they do and they are doing alot. Bowlfest is one the main reasons I changed this blog. As a small ministry, they make a HUGE impact in the church and the world. These guys host XXXChurch.com, where they talk openly about issues almost no one else is talking about, especially in the church. They also support The Strip Church on the Las Vegas Strip where they minister to the homeless, in strip clubs, in brothels and to the adult industry. They also have a heart for anyone suffering from addiction with Heart Support.

I can’t say, write and stress enough how much these ministries are needed. There are so many hurting people. People hurting by abuse, childhood experiences, or just poor choices.

Fireproof Ministries provides multiple places where hurting people can get help. Yes, they tell people about Jesus, because He is the reason for their efforts. But also like Jesus, they seek to meet the physical needs of hurting people, as evidenced in their Brothel Makeover video where they completely renovated a Nevada brothel in about a week.

The way we can support them is through Bowlfest, April 23-25, their annual fundraiser. J and I will bowl 100 lanes and sponsor ourselves for $1/lane. We ask you to sponsor us, too, you can give $1/lane or more or less. Our individual goals are $25/lane ($5,000 together). You can give now, through the links below or you can give later, after we bowl. Every donation is tax-deductible, too!

Subscribe to this blog to check our progress (right margin)!

Many Thanks!
